The bad news: The venerable semantics journal Natural Language Semantics founded by Irene Heim and Angelika Kratzer has been discontinued by Springer.
The very good news: The editorial team has started a successor journal Semantics of Natural Languages, which is a diamond open access journal published by Open Library of Humanities.
The editors have posted an open letter.
The first accepted articles are available as pre-production versions.
This is very exciting! Semantics now has three (!) fully open access journals:
- Semantics and Pragmatics
- Meaning: a journal of linguistics and philosophy
- Semantics of Natural Languages
You know what to do: support these community-led projects in whatever way you can.
